From July 15 Coup Attempt to the Referendum: Impressions from Diyarbakır

The report “From July 15 Coup Attempt to the Referendum: Impressions from Diyarbakır” written by Vahap Çoşkun focuses on how events of the July 15th coup attempt and its aftermath have been seen in Diyarbakır and Turkey’s southeast.

Within the study, in-depth interviews were carried out from January to February 2017 with the participation of political actors, civil society representatives, academics and opinion leaders, which was followed by a workshop.

The aim of the research is to analyze current social and political events in Turkey through the eyes of the Kurds, to describe their expectations and demands in response, and to present concrete policy recommendations that will address their concerns.
