Together with more than 140 experts from 30 countries, PODEM participated to the EuroMeSCo Annual Conference held on the 18th and 19th of May in Barcelona. The conference gave the opportunity to discuss the impact and restraints of civil society organizations and their interactions with governments in the Euro-Mediterranean region. In line with this, the discussion platform also aimed to shed light on the dynamics of social movements in the region.
In the session on Civil Society’s Role in Promoting Migrants’ Rights and Inclusion, PODEM Project Officer Gülşah Dark presented the Concept Note titled Perception of Civil Society towards Syrians in Turkey: Motivations, Discourse and Practices. This concept note is the baseline of a report expected to be published in the early 2020.
