On 14th October 2015, PODEM organised a workshop with the participation of business people from Turkey’s East and West to discuss proposals for the development of the Eastern and Southeastern regions in the medium to long-term.

Business people representing the provinces of Diyarbakır, Şırnak, Van, Batman, and Gaziantep expounded the obstacles in the social and economic development of the Eastern and Southeastern regions with their high potential for growth. With business people from Turkey’s West, they exchanged ideas on the prospective steps that can be taken to get out of the current situation.
